A lovely miniature painting of a Naval Officer in uniform. He was a lieutenant in either the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve or the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve. In a fitted case. Painting signed "Denton" and measuring 8.5" by 11 c.m. Painting in a gilt frame (no glass) with loop hook for hanging. Velvet backed. Painting appears to be watercolour on paper. Case measuring 11" by 6.5" when fully open. Measuring 5.5" by 6.5" when closed. All in lovely condition. I purchased this as a gift for Eugene many years ago after he had admired it at a military show in Calgary. It sat in his display cabinet for many years but now it is time for it to find a new home. The photographs here do not do it justice and it is a truly unique piece.
